###Candice Charlton is a registered Acupuncturist and graduate of the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
She started her journey as a professional makeup artist. After years of a rewarding career, she decided to expand her passion in the healthcare field and returned to the classroom for a two year Acupuncture and TCM program.
TCM is a complementary modality to help cultivate a healthy, balanced and pain-free lifestyle through: acupuncture; fire cupping; moxibustion; gua sha; and tuina massage.
Conditions that TCM is commonly used for and may be able to help with include acute and chronic pain, inflammation, gynecological concerns, digestive issues, respiratory illnesses, urinary and kidney issues, hormonal imbalances, musculoskeletal pain, nerve pain, immune health, PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress and pain management.
When she is not in clinic, you can find Candice in her garden or with her garden club, planting and growing her favourite herbs, teas and veggies. She loves working with her hands and nature to cultivate life and watching it grow.
Testimonials
“Had my first acupuncture appointment with Candice today and it was AMAZING. She is so knowledgeable and caring. Very thorough and makes you feel so at ease! I have had issue with TMJ my whole life, this is the best and most relaxed my jaw has been in forever!…She kept checking in on me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I cannot rave about her enough. Telling everyone I know to go see her!”
“I’ve never thought much of acupuncture until I was recommended to see Candice. She opened my eyes to the huge world of TCM and how regular visits can help me keep things moving the way they should. I love that she tailors each session to how I’m feeling then and there, helping to resolve my complaints for the day and to continue care for my chronic pain. I’ve never slept better, I’m not constantly bloated, and I deal with less pain in general since starting to see her. I can feel her treatments work as they happen and I always leave her table feeling completely relaxed.”
“Co-workers recommended Candice for acupuncture. My only regret is that I didn’t go see her sooner. Candice is so knowledgeable in what she is doing. I have been experiencing pain due to a rotator cuff injury, and also, because of menopause I don’t sleep through the night. Since my first visit with Candice, the pain has been manageable, if I don’t over do it, and I sleep through the night!!!”
Health & Wellness in Halifax Through Integrated Care
A clinic offering chiropractic care typically operates as a collaborative environment where practitioners work together to support each patient’s overall health goals.
Chiropractors may coordinate with massage therapists, acupuncturists, or other wellness providers to create integrated treatment plans that address pain, mobility, and recovery from multiple angles. This team-based approach allows different therapies to complement each other, improving outcomes and providing more personalized care.
The clinic is often guided by an evidence-informed practice, meaning treatment includes three pillars of health including best research, patient values, and clinical expertise. Treatments plans are usually tailored and may include manual adjustments, soft tissue work, massage therapy, TCM, acupuncture, exercise guidance, and wellness education to support long-term healing and prevention.
